The place is awful

For the ultra-hardy budget traveler, SKM is adequate. But if you want that badly to save money, just sign up for couchsurfing. All in all, SKM wasn't worth the 12 euro we paid to stay there. DON'T stay in the 10 bed dorm! ...it's more like a crack den, complete with digustingly dirty sheets and cockroaches. The 8 bed dorm with A/C was ok...at least I could sleep...barely. The staff was friendly at times but mostly unhelpful. Breakfast wasn't served until 11:30 both days, useless for most of us who don't wan

You first get welcomed by an unfriendly employee whose veins don\'t seem to contain just blood (...) . Not a smile, not friendly word, at least a whispered \"hello\"... The room hadn\'t any fan even if we asked severals at the \"reception\". Impossible to sleep at night because of the heavy 30°C oxygen atmosphere in the room --> noone cares about 2 Bathrooms for +/- 15 beds one of it without lavatory (it was broken, lying on the floor). No towels, no cleaning, no service... VERY BAD Experience

This is obviously a place for dirty hippies... but even the hippies don\'t want to sleep with cockroaches... The locker of the room was destroyed... there was no hot water, nor toilet paper... Foor the staff here it\'s normal... so the did the minimum by proposing us another room which was a LITTLE BIT cleaner. Besides is an offense to hang pics of Indian Gods on the walls and listen to SACRED mantras in such a place.

excellent stay in a friendly alternative type of hostel! ideal if you want to meet and chat to fellow travellers!! Breakfasts are ace too!!

This is the worst hostel I\'ve been in my life. The room was hot. When we get there we had to ask for sheet, as they didn\'t have anything proper, they gave us something for children. The bathrooms were disgusting (all of them). No paper toilet on the bathrooms close to the rooms, altough we had told this to the staff. There\'s no staff all night, and if you get that late, you have to get in through the garbage entrance. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The service was good, and while there were some technical difficulties the character of the establishment overrides any bother. The staff is friendly and the crowd that comes into the restaurant and bar was colorful. The food was vegetarian and I\'m not, I didn\'t even notice that I hadn\'t eaten meat in the several days that I stayed at Sub Kuch because the food there is both abundant and delicious. All around a good time. This place is worth visiting.

The food was great, the staff were fun and most of all it was a great experiance all round.

The most disgusting hostel I have ever stayed in. I refused to shower as it was so disgusting and filthy. It was over a toilet and the floor was constantly flooded. When I arrived the bed was not made, it had filthy blooded stained sheets on the bed. I had to ask 4 times for new lined. The rooms are like saunas and the airconditioning doesnt work. The hostel is located very far from the beach and in a horrible part of tel aviv. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Sub Kuch was very friendly and fun. They had lots of good activities to do right in the hostel building with a bar, vegetarian restaurant, game room, and rooftop bar/movie screen. The cleanliness is a little lacking, but nearly on par with other hostels I've stayed in.
