Tel Aviv offers a great variety of restaurants providing Jewish, Eastern European and Middle Eastern cuisine. The majority of restaurants are not kosher. As with most popular tourist cities there is also a wide variety of international cuisine available including Thai, Chinese, Mexican, Italian, French and North Africa. Many of the more reasonable restaurants are found around Ben Yehuda and Ha Yarkon and for budget Jewish and Middle Eastern cuisine head for Allenby and the Yemenite Quarter. In Jaffa there are plenty of touristy restaurants, but also a good selection of budget restaurants - head for the places frequented by locals to ensure you get value for money.
